Xiaomi launches Mi 10 Lite, a more affordable 5G phone

Xiaomi announced the global availability of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series, additionally also announcing the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, its first mid-range 5G smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite comes with a Snapdragon 765G at an impressive price tag of € 349.

Mi 10 Lite 5G has been launched as the most affordable 5G smartphone by Xiaomi. The new model comes with a waterdrop-style display notch. Similar to its higher-end siblings, the Mi 10 Lite 5G comes with a quad rear camera setup. The smartphone also has a gradient-finish back panel and 5G support. The Mi 10 Lite 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC.

Mi 10 Lite specifications, features
The Mi 10 Lite 5G features a 6.57-inch AMOLED TrueColor display with the waterdrop-style notch. Under the hood, the phone has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. Details about the RAM and storage capacity aren’t revealed, though. The smartphone has the quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The smartphone also comes preloaded with features such as Night mode 2.0, AI Dynamic Skyscaping, and Vlog mode. Furthermore, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Xiaomi has provided a 4,160mAh battery on the Mi 10 Lite 5G that supports 20W fast charging. The smartphone also supports Quick Charge 3.5. Besides, it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

A more affordable 5G phone
Xiaomi’s goal with the Mi 10 Lite 5G is to make the fifth generation mobile data technology more accessible to all users. So, for a price of € 349(NRs 46,900) , the Mi 10 Lite represents an excellent option for those who do not want to spend in the range of $1000 similar to the flagship devices.

The Chinese and Korean market is certainly grateful, as they are the territories that already have 5G networks. In relation to Nepal, the 5G is still far from being a reality but even so, the Mi 10 Lite 5G is still a piece of equipment worth considering.

However, because of the Coronavirus, its availability in physical stores may be limited. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G will be available in early May. If Xiaomi stores are already open by then, chances are you’ll find it there.
