Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp Ltd today launched Destini 125, a family scooter, in the Nepali market. Issuing a press statement Tuesday, the company said that the scooter with its revolutionary i3S technology is the first of its kind to be introduced in Nepal.

The Destini 125, which will be marketed as a family-oriented scooter, gets a simple design that comprises of soft lines and curves. The front apron and the side panels get a substantial amount of chrome, which is very similar to what we’ve seen on the Honda Activa 125. It will be equipped with an external fuel filler cap, a mobile charging port, a boot lamp, a remote key as well as a semi-digital instrument console with a side stand indicator as well as service-due indicator.

Powering the Hero Destini 125 is a 124.6cc ‘Energy Boost Engine’ that produces 8.6PS of power and a peak torque of 10.2Nm. What’s more, it also features Hero’s i3S start-stop technology to save fuel too! The Destiny 125 will get an optional front disc brake on the top-spec variant, while Hero’s Integrated Braking System – a rudimentary feature in most scooters these days – will be offered as standard.

It is available in four metallic colors – noble red, chestnut, bronze, panther black, and pearl silver, according to the company.

The Destini 125 will take on the likes of the Honda Activa 125, TVS NTorq 125 and the popular Suzuki Access 125.

The Hero Destini 125 has been priced at Rs 206,000, and is available at Hero outlets in all major cities across the country.
