Following the announcement of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the Mountain View company has released the Google Pixel 5a, its new mid-range smartphone that inherits the design and some of the specifications of the Pixel 5, but eliminates others — such as wireless charging — to offer a more restrained price.
The Google Pixel 5A includes a Snapdragon 765G processor, same chip as the Google Pixel 5. It therefore has support for 5G networks. The SoC is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. Its battery is 4,680 mAh and supports a fast charge of 18W.
The screen of the Google Pixel 5a is slightly bigger at 6.34 inches. It maintains the panel with OLED technology, as well as a Full HD+ resolution that provides 2400 x 1080 pixels. The display refresh rate is 90 Hz.
Titan M, the security chip that the company announced alongside the Pixel 3, is also coming to Google’s new mid-range smartphone. This processor is responsible for protecting the data of the device, checks the version and operation of the system on each boot and encrypts files stored on the smartphone.
At the safety level, the Google Pixel 5a is also able to call emergency numbers if it detects a collision or accident or even share location and contact details with trusted contacts quickly.
Pixel 5a: Dual camera and water resistance
As for the photographic section, the Pixel 5a from Google is equipped with a dual camera of 12 megapixels for the wide-angle sensor and 16 megapixels for the ultra-wide-angle sensor. They are the same cameras that the Pixel 5 includes, adding, in addition, all the functions at the software level. Among them, the portrait mode with the possibility to adjust the brightness or the night photography.
The front camera, on the other hand, is 8 megapixels and has an f/2.0 aperture.
The Google Pixel 5a arrives with an identical design to the Pixel 5, except for the size, which increases in this version due to its larger screen diagonal. The handset itself features a sober finish, with a polycarbonate back in a dark color and a front with hardly any frames. It stands out, on the other hand, for its resistance to water and dust,since it includes an IP67 certification, as well as the inclusion of a headphone jack in the upper area.

Google Pixel 5a Price in Nepal
The Google Pixel 5a will be available in the United States and Japan. It can now be booked in both markets and will be on sale from August 26. It is priced at $449 or about NRs 53,350. Google also allows you to purchase the smartphone in cash or through installments.
