Syakar Trading Company, the authorized distributor of Honda two-wheelers for Nepal, has introduced the New Honda Activa-i scooter at the ongoing NADA Auto Show.

The new machine was introduced by popular singer Nima Rumba and actor Richa Sharma along with delegates from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India.

The new Activa-i from Honda uses an air-cooled, 109.2-cc engine and produces 8 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.74 nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The Activa-i features combi-brake system (CBS) which reduces braking distance by 24 percent compared to conventional brakes, tubeless tyres, maintenance free battery and viscous air filter. The Activa-i delivers 60kmpl fuel efficiency. According to the company, the Activa-i boasts an under seat storage capacity of 18-litre, a slightly higher ground clearance of 165 mm and tips the scale at 103 kg. Also, it uses an ergonomic grab rail that helps in putting the scooter on main stand with 15 percent less force.

Visually, the new scooter has design influences of the Aviator in front, but the new indicators give the scooter a distinct identity.
