Honor 80 GT Launched With SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 120 Hz AMOLED display : Price, Specifications
On Monday, Honor introduced the Honor 80 GT smartphone alongside Honor Pad V8 Pro in China.
This latest Honor 80 model is in between the Honor 80 Pro and the basic model. The smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
The new Honor phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a triple-lens rear camera that collectively produce 54 megapixels.
It has a full-HD+ AMOLED display that measures 6.67 inches in diagonal and can reach a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Support for 66W Super Fast Charging means that the Honor 80 GT’s 4,800mAh battery can be quickly recharged.
Honor 80 GT features and specifications
The MagicOS 7.0 skin sits over Android 12.0 on this smartphone. The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen has a resolution of full HD+ (1,080 by 2,400 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 hertz, and a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits.
In terms of hardware, the Honor 80 GT features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and an Adreno 730 GPU. It has a maximum of 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The main camera on the Honor 80 GT is 54 megapixels and has an aperture of f/1.9. There are two additional cameras located on the back of the device for capturing depth.
There’s also a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. A 4K video can be recorded with this camera setup thanks to the incorporation of electronic image stabilisation (EIS).
It has a front-facing camera with 16 megapixels of resolution that can capture videos in high definition.
It has a 66W Super Fast Charge compatible 4,800mAh battery.
The Honor 80 GT supports two Nano SIM cards, as well as Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth v5.2. It also has a fingerprint reader embedded into the screen and can recognise your face.
Honor 80 GT Price and Availability
In China, the Honor 80 GT with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage can be purchased for a starting price of CNY 3,299 (USD 474).
The 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, meanwhile, is priced at CNY 3,599. (USD 517). Honor’s new smartphone comes in three different colors: Interstellar Black, Light Rain Meteor, and Streaming Mirror.
