Vivo Y51s launched with Samsung’s Exynos 880, Triple Cameras and 4500 mAh battery

Vivo Y51s Price in Nepal

Vivo recently announced the official launch of it’s newest mid-range smartphone with 5G support with large capacity battery and at a very competitive price range.

The most notable feature of this Vivo Y51s is its processor, supplied by Samsung. In fact, Vivo Y51s is the first smartphone to use the Exynos 880 chipset and even Samsung hasn’t launched any devices with this chipset till date. Therefore, it is possible that this processor with 5G enabled will continue to be exclusive to Vivo brand.

The device features a design with a triple rear camera module and the popular hole in the screen. The features do not impress much but everything will depend on its price in the global markets. In China, Vivo competes directly with Xiaomi and Oppo for cheaper smartphones and hence the price has been adjusted accordingly.

The Vivo Y51s borrows most of the design statement and internal hardware specification from the iQoo U1 which has been launched recently.

The device offers the same 6.53-inch panel with IPS LCD technology, the same 4,500 mAh battery, the same 8 MP front camera and the same set of rear cameras: including 48 MP main sensor and two 2 MP each, with a macro lens and another dedicated for depth of field.

With a set of three rear cameras positioned in a rectangular module, a circular notch screen to house the front camera and a side biometric reader integrated with the power button, the smartphone is essentially a rebranded iQOO U1.

Unlike the iQOO model, the Y51s offers only a variant of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, exchanging the Snpadragon 720G chipset for Samsung’s Exynos 880 5G. The smartphone also offers 4,500 mAh battery with 18W dual-engine flash charging .

For connectivity, there is 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor has been given for authentication, and there is Face Unlock support as well.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y51s runs on the Funtouch OS 10.5, based on Android 10.
