As competition in the 5G smartphone market has grown, manufacturers like Redmi have lowered the average prices of 5G handsets noticeably by cutting corners.The Redmi K30i 5G phone is already available for pre-order and is almost identical to the Redmi K30 5G that was launched earlier in Jan 2020, with the most notable change being the 48-megapixel main camera, instead of the 64-megapixel.

The Redmi K30i 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch display with FHD + resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels), 120 Hz of screen refresh rate and two pill shaped notches for housing a 20-megapixel selfie camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the back there is a triple camera setup with a 48-megapixel main shooter, an 8-megapixel wide-angle and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

The phone runs on Snapdragon 765G chipset in conjunction with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory for data storage. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports fast 30-watt charging.

The Redmi K30i 5G is available in a single 6/128 GB configuration in blue and white. The start of sales is scheduled for June 7th. The price of the Redmi K30i 5G in China will be $ 266 which converts to around Rs 32,600. This device may be launched in India as another rebranded Poco variant.
