The Honor 30 will be the next flagship device of the Huawei sub-brand and with the approach of its presentation, more information have emerged. This time, we have the confirmation that this model will have a camera like the one found in recently launched Huawei P40 series.

The renowned @OnLeaks revealed, in his profile on Twiiter, the camera specifications of the new Honor 30. This smartphone will come with triple camera setup on its rear, very similar to those of the Huawei P40.

Honor 30 will be an excellent alternative to the Huawei P40
According to what is being advanced, the Honor 30 will come with a 50MP main sensor from Sony IMX 7xx series. This lens will contain 2.24µm pixels, which are slightly smaller in size than the main lens of the P40.

Simplifying things, the Honor 30’s main sensor will also be able to combine four pixels into one otherwise known as pixel binning. Its results will be similar to those achieved by the P40, so it will be an excellent alternative to the flagship range from the Chinese brand.

The rest of the camera will consist of a 12MP wide-angle lens, also capable of combining four pixels into one. The third sensor will be an 8MP telephoto, with an optical zoom of up to 3X.

The differences when compared with the camera of the Huawei P40 are not many, that is why the Honor 30 will be an excellent alternative in a lower price range. Especially considering that Honor’s smartphone should have a more affordable price.

Honor 30 Pro will offer additional premium features

Like Huawei, Honor will present a Pro version of its new flagship. This should be the most powerful model in the line, one that will be entitled with superior features.

In this sense, the Honor 30 Pro is expected to come with a camera similar to the Huawei P40 Pro. This is far superior to the Huawei P40, a strategy that more and more brands have adopted in their portfolios.

Since Honor is held by Huawei, it is natural that both share much of the hardware platform. Honor premium range have always been seen as an economic alternative to Huawei’s counterparts, and this year will be no different.
