Dutch airline ArkeFly to begin flights to KTM

For the second year, Dutch airline ArkeFly will connect Amsterdam with Kathmandu from Oct. 1 until the last flight on April 23, 2011.

The flight departs Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport every Friday at 22:05 hours and arrives in Kathmandu Saturday morning at 9:35.

ArkeFly will bring in Dutch and other European passengers with its B737-800 jetliner and will contribute significantly to Nepal Tourism Year 2011. Last year, during the 2009-10 seasons, ArkeFly flew in 3,000 tourists, said a press statement issued by the airline.

Malla Travel & Trek Services, general sales agent (GSA) for ArkeFly in Nepal, is offering exciting and affordable tour packages for the coming season targeting Nepali leisure travellers. Malla is also offering special introductory airfares and tour packages on the first three flights departing Kathmandu, i.e., on Oct. 2, 9 and 16.
