Moto Edge X30 Special Edition with under-display selfie camera launching soon

Moto Edge X30 Special Edition under-display selfie camera

In a post on Weibo, a Moto Edge X30 Special Edition was teased with an under-display camera for selfies. The new Motorola phone was announced during the December launch of the Moto Edge X30, Motorola’s flagship smartphone.

However, no other information regarding the handset has been released by Lenovo-owned firm. A new feature of the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition is a special under-screen camera that can be hidden while the phone is not in use. Other manufacturers, including Samsung, have provided a comparable experience on their most current high-end smartphones.

The retail box for the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition has been shared by Lenovo Mobile Business Group China’s General Manager, Chen Jin. An under-display selfie camera is clearly marked on the packaging in Chinese lettering. As an alternative name, the Moto Edge X30 Under-Screen Camera Edition exists as well.

The Moto Edge X30 Special Edition was unveiled by Motorola last month, but the company didn’t reveal the phone’s features. Aside from the addition of a front-facing camera, it’s thought that it will be identical to the normal model.

CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 75,100) gets you the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage Moto Edge X30 Special Edition. This device hasn’t been made accessible to Chinese consumers yet.

Motorola has created a 60-megapixel selfie camera sensor that can be hidden under the display when not in use. However, the normal Moto Edge X30 lacks support for on-screen pixels and uses a different sensor.

Moto Edge X30, unlike the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition, can be purchased in China. Also, in India, the phone is expected to be on sale in the latter half of January or early February.
