Razer Hammerhead TWS 2021

Razer announced the launch of its new TWS headset – Razer Hammerhead True Wireless 2021 edition. The new TWS headphone replaces the 2019 model Razer Hammerhead TWS headphone.

The new model now includes several new features including the active noise cancellation feature and the presence of RGB LED as it’s main highlight.

The new headphones comes with 10mm drivers for bass and includes a feature that was referenced in its previous version, which is low latency mode(60ms) for gaming, but now it comes upgraded with Bluetooth 5.2 to connect to other devices.

This second generation of Hammerhead headphones 2021 edition now comes with active noise cancellation (ANC) feature which was lacking in the original 2019 model.

Razer acknowledges that the technology employed in these headphones is not as effective to eliminate noise as that found in the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro model which costs $200 in the US market.

But the ANC proves effective with less exaggerated noises such as the hum of an airplane.

A highlight that can please young audiences or RGB light enthusiasts a lot is the presence of LEDs on the headphones, which are fully customizable by Razer’s audio app, so that the user can choose the color and brightness according to one’s liking. The app offers breathing pattern, an audio meter that pulsates during songs, a fading in and out spectrum or a choice of static colors for customizations.

The headphone also comes with Enhanced bass option within the equalizer option. Despite the small drop in driver size, the new Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds sound really fantastic with both punchy highs and bass reproduction that truly thump in your ears, but they still manage to deliver a well-balanced and very satisfying sound that also doesn’t distort when you’ve got the volume irresponsibly cranked.

In terms of battery, Razer reports that Hammerhead True Wireless provides up to 6.5 hours of playback, with 26 hours in total considering the power stored in the charging case.

The RGB Chroma effects and ANC reduce the numbers further down to 4 hours of playback time and 20 hours of charging from the case.
