Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the new King of Photography

by NewsTeam

The struggle for smartphone photography continues, and that seems to be the main focus of OEMs when they manufacture equipment. There are several ways to measure the photographic quality of a smartphone, but there is a separate “entity” that specializes in this subject, and we are talking about the people at DxOMark . The new Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra went through the hands of the DxoMark benchmark and result was astounding. The Mi 10 Ultra is the best camera smartphone ever made.

To obtain this result, the smartphone got a brilliant 142 points in the photo segment, and 106 points in the video. Yes you read well, the device achieved 142 points in the photo, which is 2 more points than those achieved by the former leader, the Huawei P40 Pro , which had obtained 140 points. But it was not only in the photography segment that the new Xiaomi phone surpassed that of Huawei, since in the video the P40 Pro had obtained 105 points.

The truth is that Xiaomi has never been synonymous with photography, just good fast equipment with excellent value for money. However, in recent years, the company has been striving to fill this gap and become an example of excellence in the photographic department as well.

With regard to the rear cameras of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, the DxoMark team claims that they are excellent when it comes to having a good exposure of the subject and dynamic range, the white balance is accurate and the details and zoom from medium to long range are excellent. Even the ultra-wide camera has a good dynamic range and the exposure is really good in almost every situation.

In videos, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra scored 106 points and maintains the first place in the category. According to DxOMark, it is the first tested device that achieves the best overall results with 4K resolution and a frame rate of 60 fps. They point out that the Mi 10 Ultra provides good exposure, pleasant colors and good details even for low light shooting, in addition to fast and consistent autofocus.

Xiaomi has managed a good trade-off between texture and noise in images captured in dim conditions, and the camera is capable of achieving good exposures even in extremely low light. Portrait shots recorded in bokeh mode show the usual slight isolation imperfections around foreground subjects, but the blur effects look quite natural, and bokeh images are overall on a level similar to those from other top-end phones.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra features the Snapdragon 865, which comes with a primary sensor of 48 megapixels, with an aperture of f / 1.85, autofocus with phase detection and optical image stabilization. With it we have access to two telephoto lenses with different optical zoom ranges and an ultra-wide-angle camera, only at the rear. It even has a multispectral color temperature sensor that should be able to provide slightly more accurate colors to your photos.

The results are definitely impressive, and we are looking forward to seeing how future smartphones will prove their worth in these reviews. This Mi 10 Ultra result at DxOMark proves that brands are not interested in leaving the photographic section behind.
