KFC, Pizza Hut closed indefinitely

International fast food chain KFC and Pizza Hut located at Durbar Marg and Thapathali in Kathmandu have shut their services indefinitely from Tuesday.

Devyani International Pvt. Ltd, the owner of the restaurants, said in a notice that it had been forced to close services following manhandling of management staff including human resource officer by some of the workers.

However, All Nepal Hotel and Restaurants Workers Association, in a statement claimed that the management announced the closure of the services without even informing the employees.

Devyani International, a subsidiary of India’s RJ Corp, in partnership with YUM brands had brought the multinational chain in Nepal for the first time.

It has been operating a total of five outlets including Pizza Hut, KFC and Cream Bell at Durbar Marg and Blue Bird Mall at Thapathali.Nepalnews.com
