Meizu 16th, M6T and C9 launched : Key Features & Specs

On Wednesday, Meizu announced its comeback for the Indian market with launch of three smartphones across various price points. In one hand, Meizu showed off their flagship M16th with all the flagship features we have come to expect from smartphone manufacturers in late 2018, selling for a price of Rs 39,999. On the other hand, we were also shown the M6T and C9 – two budget offerings with all features that we have come to expect in these segments. All the smartphones will be sold on Amazon exclusively, with the M6T and C9 resuming sale from 5th December, 2018.

As stated, the Meizu 16th is a flagship smartphone with some of the most powerful internals to be found in the smartphone industry in 2018. The M16th will go on head-to-head with the likes of the OnePlus 6T and ASUS Zenfone 5Z.

The M6T will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 6 and ASUS Zenfone Max M1 whereas the C9 will compete with the Redmi 6A and various other entry level smartphones from several Chinese players.

Meizu 16th specifications:

Display: The M16th features a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display also features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Processor: Meizu is relying on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 2.8GHz and accompanied by the Adreno 630 GPU.
RAM: In India, Meizu will only be bringing a single variant with 8GB of RAM as standard.
Storage: The M16th will be offered with 128GB of internal storage with no expandable storage.
Software: The handset is relying on FlyMe OS which itself is based Android Oreo.
Rear Camera: The M16th uses a pair of 12MP + 20 MP cameras, assisted by auto HDR and AI algorithms.
Front Camera: There’s a 20MP sensor with an aperture of F2.0 for the dealing with selfies.
Battery: A 3010mAh battery keeps the M16th alive with support for fast charging.

Meizu-M6T

Meizu M6T specifications:

Display: The M6T features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Processor: Meizu is using an octa-core Mediatek MT6750 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz and accompanied by the Mali-T860MP2 GPU.
RAM: Meizu will be offering 3GB of RAM on the M6T .
Storage: The M6T will be offered with 32GB, with expandable storage up to 128GB.
Software: The handset is relying on FlyMe OS which itself is based Android Oreo.
Rear Camera: The M6T uses a pair of 13MP + 2 MP cameras.
Front Camera: There’s an 8MP sensor with an aperture of F2.0 for the dealing with selfies.
Battery: A 3300mAh battery is responsible for powering the M6T.

Meizu-C9

Meizu C9 specifications:

Display: The C9 sports a 5.45-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Processor: Since this is a budget phone, Meizu is using a quad-core Unisoc SC9832E chipset clocked at 1.3GHz and accompanied by the Mali-820MP1 GPU.
RAM: Meizu will be offering only 2GB of RAM on the C9.
Storage: The C9 will be offered with 16GB, with expandable storage up to 128GB.
Software: The handset is relying on Android Oreo Go edition.
Rear Camera: The C9 bears a single 13MP sensor with F2.2 aperture and an LED flash.
Front Camera: It gets an 8MP selfie camera with F2.2 aperture and Face Unlock feature.
Battery: A 3000mAh battery is responsible for powering the C9.

The Meizu 16th is available in India for INR 39,999 and will go on sale sometime in December 2019. The M6T will be selling at a price of INR 7,999 and will go on sale in December as well. The C9 is priced at INR 5,999 but will be available at an introductory price of INR 4,999 for a limited period of time. It will go on sale from 5th December 2019. All the Meizu smartphones will be sold exclusively on Amazon.com.
