HTC launches U Play,One X9 and Desire 825 in Nepal

The HTC U Play, HTC One X9 and HTC Desire 825 are the latest smartphones from HTC to enter the competitive phone market in Nepal. Generation Next Communications is the official authorised distributor for HTC smartphones in Nepal.

Prices for the phone start from Rs 18,900 for the HTC Desire 825, Rs 28,600 for the HTC One X9 and Rs 49,999 for the HTC U Play.

HTC U Play is a new series from HTC to mark a fresh start in 2017. It follows a new approach to design and aesthetics. The phone has a 5.2 inch Super LCD display with full-HD resolution and a pixel density of 428ppi. The display has Gorilla Glass protection with excellent brightness levels and viewing angles, according to the company.

It is powered by the MediaTekHelio P10 chipset, that has 8 processors clocked at 2GHz. The phone boasts 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage as well as expandable storage up to 2 TB. There is a 16-megapixel camera on the front and rear which features PDAF and Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) with f/2.0 aperture that captures outstanding detail even in low light, reads the press release. The HTC U Play is able to record video at 1080p on both the front and rear cameras. HTC has fitted the phone with a 2500mAh battery with fast charging capacity which allows one to record continuously for nearly 9 hours of HD videos, claimed the company.

Other specifications include HTC U Sonic, Dual Nano-SIM slot, Bluetooth 4.2, dual band Wi-Fi ac, NFC, USB-OTG, GPS and GLONASS. It will also support 4G and has a suite of sensors including a gyroscope and a fingerprint reader, according to the press release.

HTC One X9 has an all-metal rear that looks and feels premium, as stated by the press release. The phone has a 5.5 inch full-HD Super LCD display with a pixel density of 401 ppi. According to the company, the display is bright and crisp with decent colour reproduction and acceptable sunlight legibility. There are three backlit capacitive buttons below the display for Back, Home and Recent. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Dual speaker grilles adorn the phone at the top and bottom, while there is a 3.5mm audio jack on top followed by a micro-USB port on the bottom. The company claims that the dual HTC BoomSound speakers and Dolby Audio Surround enhancement make watching videos and playing games enjoyable.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. The One X9 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera at the front. Other features include Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Glonass, Miracast and 4G LTE Cat, reads the press release. The phone has a 3000mAh battery with quick charging support.

HTC Desire 825 comes with a 5.5 inch 720p display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

According to the company, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the front and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. It runs Android 6.0 and has a 2700mAh battery that is removable. The HTC Desire 825 has a variety of features such as Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and gyroscope, reads the press statement. The phone supports both 3G and 4G, says the company.
