Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra leaked infographics shows specifications of the device

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

According to a leaker account on Weibo, China’s version of Twitter, a new phone specifications and design infographic that appears to be from Samsung has surfaced. It verifies some Galaxy S22 Ultra features while debunking others.

To be honest, it’s disheartening that Samsung won’t be offering any more memory options than its predecessor did for the same starting price, which is expected to be in the $1199-$1299 range. Not only that, but the top S22 Ultra model with 1TB of storage appears to be a dream come true.

Given that Samsung’s infographics are in English and show all processor versions of the phone (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200), we’d hazard to predict that if this leak holds water at all these may be the finalized global specifications for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Although the leaked Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra specifications and design infographic shows that the flagship phone would enable the fastest charging speed at the time, as opposed to the base storage letdown.

If you want to charge the S22 Ultra at 45W, you’ll need a Samsung brick, which you’ll have to buy separately. That’s because its predecessors and the final Note line entries only support 25W charging.

With the same 5000mAh battery capacity, the S22 Ultra should be able to last an hour or so on a full charge, as we found in most Galaxy S21 Ultra reviews.

In the next disappointment, the S22 Ultra’s 6.8 inch panel is mentioned as being capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1500 nits. Despite the fact that this is still a very amazing display and one of the brightest in mobile display measurements, it does not have the alleged 1800 nits brightness which were confirmed by previous leaks.

The S22 Ultra’s rumored record-breaking brightness is either exaggerated by Samsung, or the rumor mill has been wildly exaggerated all along.

The only thing that is consistent with the S22 Ultra rumors is the camera kit included in the leaked specifications infographic. There will be a 108MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2, which is to be expected once more.

While Samsung will include the 10MP periscope-style 10x optical zoom, it will add a 3x telephoto-style 10MP, periscope-style  10MP camera with the same f/4.9 aperture to help with portrait photography and subjects that require mid-range zoom.

A positive note is left out by a leaked infographic of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which depicts a built-in S Pen support, explaining Samsung’s tongue-in-cheek reference to the “most remarkable S series device we’ve ever made.”

The new S Pen in Samsung’s quiver has a record low 2.8ms latency, which means it will move smoothly and precisely over the 6.8-inch display surface whether you sketch or annotate, but its low latency will be particularly important for drawing.

Regardless, we can’t wait to see which of the speculations surrounding the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be confirmed during the Unpacked event on February 9.
