Oneplus 7 leak hints at a slider camera phone with bezel-less display

Oneplus 7 Price in Nepal

Oneplus, generally known as a flagship killer smartphone maker released their last model Oneplus 6T back in November, 2018. The Oneplus 6T came with substantial visual improvements over the Oneplus 6 smartphone. The company has a short product cycle of around 5 months in between launches of new models. The upcoming Oneplus smartphone is going to be Oneplus 7 and as the company has already announced during the Qualcomm Summit that the company will be launching one of the first 5G handset in the early 2019.

The OnePlus 7 will be one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, so the rumors and leaks of information will intensify as we approach the day of its launch. A new picture has been circulating in the internet showing the possible leaked image of the probable Oneplus 7 smartphone. The authenticity of the image is yet to be verified .

The alleged Oneplus 7 smartphone appears next to a Oneplus 6T in a packaging case that usually comes in a box pack. The display curves in a similar fashion towards the edges as well. The phone is surrounded by a very thin bezels and there’s an absence of a notch or any holes for the front selfie camera. The earpiece speaker on the top center edge is also somewhat wider than the Oneplus 6T.

OnePlus-7

The absence of notch and camera on the front indicates that Oneplus 7 is going to have a mechanical slider mechanism to house the selfie camera.

Unfortunately, The OnePlus 7 photo leak does not give us much insight into the specifications of the phone. But previous leaks suggest that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 855 processor and be available in different RAM and storage configurations. We can expect to see 8 GB of RAM become the standard on the OnePlus 7, with variants going up till 12 GB of RAM.

The smartphone is supposed to sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a triple camera setup at the back consisting of 48 MP, 20 MP, and 16 MP cameras. For selfies and video calls, it will have a 16 MP snapper that will pop-up from the top as seen in latest Oppo and Vivo models – Oppo 11 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro.

OnePlus 7 will also reportedly come with Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 3.0. It should also come with 44W Dash Charge which was debuted on the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

Whatever may be the case, you shouldn’t get excited for now as this is too early to assume anything. There’s a high chance that this could be a prototype device that OnePlus is testing and could never see the light of the day. However, with more manufacturers adopting the slider form, we won’t be surprised if OnePlus adopts it for the OnePlus 7.
