Xiaomi last year launched the Redmi 6A smartphone and this device has topped the charts of “Most Selling Smartphone” in India .
The company is now readying to launch it’s successor in the form of Redmi 7A and will definitely serve for the same class i.e. budget segment.
Having witnessed it’s popularity , the company is going to refresh this model with new hardware components for 2019.
The new device has appeared in TENAA listing in China bearing the model number Redmi M1903C3EE and Redmi M1903C3EC.
Design-wise the upcoming Redmi 7A will resemble the Redmi 6A in appearance to keep the price tag to a bare minimum. The front panel will have a basic design as seen in phones from 2017-2018, with no notches of any kind and the screen size will also see no upgrade.
The device is set to come with a 5.4-inch 720 x 1440 IPS LCD display with no notch but bezels on all sides. There is a 5MP camera to the left of the earpiece and we are sure there is a proximity/light sensor on the right.
The phone has a single 13MP rear camera with an LED flash below it. The back shows a single camera with an LED flash, and “AI Camera” written next to it, suggesting that the camera software will include some artificial intelligence enhancements. A camera bump is also visible in the profile shots of the phone and no fingerprint sensor can be spotted.
The back which is made of polycarbonate hides a 3900mAh batterythat will power a 1.4GHz octa-core processor.
The SoC is paired with 2GB, 3GB, or 4GB of RAM and 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage respectively. The phone will have a MicroSD card slot for adding up to an additional 256GB of storage.
The Redmi 7A will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. TENAA says it will be available in Black, Red, Blue, Pink, White, Green, Purple, and Gray.
The details of Redmi 7A are scarce at this moment as Xiaomi has not outlined any official information about this device. The informations obtained from TENAA listings are only half solved puzzle.
