Apple’s iPhone 14 series to feature 120Hz display, 6GB RAM and 48 MP main camera

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

Preliminary reports about Apple’s iPhone 14 series began circulating on the Internet even before the company formally debuted its iPhone 13 lineup. The question of whether or not the iPhone 14 Pro versions would include a punch-hole display has been a hot subject for quite some time.

Also according to rumours, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will include a camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels. In the midst of all of these rumors, a new report has surfaced, claiming that all four models in the iPhone 14 series would feature a 120Hz ProMotion high refresh rate display and will have 6GB of RAM.

Following the release of a research note by analyst Jeff Pu for Haitong International Securities (via), the Cupertino-based company said that the whole iPhone 14 lineup will feature a high refresh rate display.

According to the rumor, the iPhone 14 family will consist of four devices: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. All four devices will feature a 120Hz ProMotion display, according to the claim. Not only that, but according to the report, all four smartphones would be equipped with 6GB of memory. According to Apple, this is a departure from past generations, with the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 both featuring 4GB of RAM, while the Pro models included 6GB of RAM.

At the very least, if both of these rumors prove to be correct, there will be no distinction between the four devices in terms of refresh rate and RAM size. It remains to be seen what “Pro” features Apple will include in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, as a result of which it is still unclear.

Unsurprisingly, the cameras on both of these handsets will be superior to those on the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, but it does not appear that the Pro variations will be significantly different from their non-Pro counterparts, at least in terms of display quality.

And, when it comes to displays, it’s important to take in mind the different sizes of the screens. A huge panel similar to that found on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to be used on the iPhone 14 Max, despite the fact that the iPhone 14 will likely have a smaller display (albeit one with a high refresh rate).

Finally, according to the rumor, the iPhone 14 Pros will come with 256GB of onboard memory, while the non-Pro models would most likely come with 64GB of internal memory. In addition, the Pro models are believed to have a 48MP main camera.
