Ducati unveiles it’s First race-focused electric motorcycle

Ducati Electric V21L

The first racing-oriented electric motorcycle model from Ducati, one of the motorcycle world’s most renowned names, is on the horizon. Here are a few of the most important highlights.

Motorcycle manufacturers, like automakers, believe that electric vehicles are the way of the future and are actively pursuing solutions to this problem.

In the meantime, Alex de Angelis, a 2019 FIM Enel MotoE competitor and former MotoGP rider, has just tested the brand’s future electric MotoE prototype at the Vallelunga Circuit north of Rome. V21L, an electric Ducati, can be seen on the Italian company’s social media platforms and YouTube Channel in a video dubbed “Burning Rubber.”

The design of the motorcycle is extremely similar to that of a standard racing motorcycle. The Ducati V21L is a prototype that does not have an exhaust system because it does not have an internal combustion engine.

The model’s carbon fiber-weighted body has yet to receive an official performance rating.

Energica’s solutions, on the other hand, promise a vehicle with a top speed of 270 km/h and a power output of 120 kW (160 hp).

The battery pack on the 262 kg motorcycle is projected to be at least 20 kWh. Based on this idea, Ducati is expected to develop road-friendly racing electric motorcycles.

However, there is no definitive explanation for this as of yet. Kawasaki, like Ducati, is developing electric motorcycles. Long has Kawasaki been working on producing an electric motorcycle.
