According to a report using IMEI database entries, both of these handsets are slated to be released in March of next year alongside the Xiaomi Mix 5 and will be part of the Xiaomi 12 series.
The Xiaomi Civi, which made its debut in China in September of this year, is reported to be a design inspiration for both of these speculated smartphones. The Mi Code website claims that both of these smartphones were detected on the platform in October.
In accordance with a report by Xiaomiui, the rumored Xiaomi 12 Lite has a codename of “tanyao” and model numbers of 2203129I and 2203129G on the IMEI website, respectively. In addition, it claims that the Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom is known by the codename “zijin” and has the model number 2203129BC. The Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom, on the other hand, is rumored to be unique to the Chinese market, while the Xiaomi 12 Lite is said to be exclusive to the international market.
According to the source, the “2203” in the model numbers of the Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom smartphones indicate that the devices would be released in March 2022, according to the article. Both phones are claimed to have “a 3D edge design, similar to the Xiaomi Civi,” which was unveiled in China in September of this year, according to reports.
Specifications of the Xiaomi 12 Lite (expected)
A 6.55-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is claimed to be included in the Xiaomi 12 Lite’s specification. There are reports that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G or 780G+ processor. The smartphone could include a triple-camera configuration on the back, with the primary sensor being a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor that could be combined with a wide-angle lens and a macro lens, among other things.
